The Utah Department of Workforce Services has announced the winners of its 2012 Work/Life Awards.

The awards are presented to companies that have built corporate cultures that value employees' contributions to their operations and also help them to better deal with their lives on and off the job. Work/Life awards are based on employee responses to surveys about their workplaces.

They are presented in three size categories: micro, medium and large.

"After 14 years, this award gets harder and harder to win," said Lynette Rasmussen, director of the Department of Workforce Services' Office of Work and Family Life. "The success of Work/Life Award-winning companies shows up in many forms, including improved productivity, innovation, customer and employee relations, retention and recruitment."
