Heber Valley Bank will buy the Park City branch of Frontier Bank in a deal expected to close by the end of 2012.

Heber Valley is owned by Grand Valley Bank in Grand Junction, Colo.

The Park City branch office will operate under the Heber Valley name. Based in Heber City, Heber Valley also has branch offices in Midway and Vernal.

When the acquisition closes, Grand Valley will own eight branches in Colorado and Utah, including the Heber Valley offices.

Grand Valley's assets total about $273 million.

Frontier's headquarters are in Park City, but its administrative offices are in Palm Desert, Calif.
