Smith’s Food & Drug Stores has opened its 38th Smith’s Express fuel station in Utah.
The new station is at 500 South and 600 East in Salt Lake City, on the former site of Bill and Nada’s Cafe that operated from 1946 through 1999.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. today. Prior to the ceremony, customers are invited to stop in and reminisce about the old cafe by viewing several vintage cars and enjoying some "brains and eggs" — Bill and Nada’s signature dish.
"We thought it would be fun to remember a place that was memorable to many Salt Lake residents as part of our grand opening," said Zane Day, vice president of merchandising for Smith’s.
The new fuel station also offers a bicycle fix-it center, complete with tools for riders to repair their bikes.
