The annual ranking recognizes men and women in a variety of positions who are considered among the most influential throughout the healthcare industry, as chosen by readers of the magazine.

Earlier this year, the magazine recognized Sorenson and Brent James, chief quality officer of Intermountain Healthcare, among the "50 Most Influential Physician Executives in Healthcare."
