The Sports Authority sporting goods chain is looking for 40 Utahns to help temporarily staff its annual "SNIAGRAB" sales event presented in early September at its Utah Sportscastle store in Murray.

SNIAGRAB, which is bargains spelled backward, offers thousands of dollars of merchandise from leading manufacturers such as Burton, Volkl, K2, Salomon, Columbia, Sims and others. The merchandise is on sale for up to 80 percent off. This year SNIAGRAB will run from Sept. 1 though Sept. 16.

Sports Authority said it will conduct two hiring days next week to find the right people to fill the temporary positions. Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to continue working for the company at different locations after the sales event is over.

Positions available will range from specialty staff with expertise in selected categories such as accessories, apparel and hard goods (including skis and snowboards), to cashiers and customer-service associates.

Candidates are asked to apply online at http://bit.ly/MzQj1e before arriving at the Utah Sportscastle store at 5550 S. 900 East in Murray. They should be dressed professionally and carrying an updated copy of their resume.

Hours next week for the hiring days will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Those who are hired will be offered a flexible schedule with the opportunity to work 32 hours a week. They also will receive first choice on sale ski/snowboard equipment and an additional 25 percent off.
