Franklin Covey Co., the Salt Lake City-based provider of time-management products and seminars, has reported strong financial results for the third quarter of its 2012 fiscal year.
The company said it third quarter net income was $1.6 million, or 9 cents per share, more than double the net income of $700,000, or 4 cents per share, that it reported in the same quarter of the previous year.
Third quarter revenue increased to $41.3 million, the company reported. A year ago, it posted third quarter net income of $40.9 million.
"We are very pleased with the results achieved in our fiscal third quarter, and by the significant momentum we are seeing in our business, which drove a 23 percent increase in our pipeline of booked (seminar) days and awarded revenue during the quarter," Bob Whitman, chairman and CEO said in a statement announcing the third quarter results.
For the first nine months of its fiscal year, Franklin Covery reported that its revenue increased $3.7 million over the same period of the previous year to $119.4 million. Net income for those three quarter increased to $17.4 million compared with $14.5 million in its previous fiscal year for a 20 percent improvement.
