Creative Times Inc., a small business based in Ogden, has been awarded a $9.5 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a 36,500-square-foot building to support F-22 maintenance facilities at Hill Air Force Base.

The office building is scheduled to be completed in early 2014, according to a news release. It will "serve as an administration and operations support building to the adjacent F-22 industrial facilities on base," project manager Alfred Hernandez said in the release.

The base completed a $45 million F-22 maintenance facility in January, although production of the jet halted in 2009. Currently, 188 Lockheed Martin F-22s are in service. Hill is prepared to take on maintenance for the F-35 — the F-22's successor.
