Entrepreneurs, business owners and investors can learn more about "crowdfund investing" this week at a national conference in Salt Lake City that teaches the basics of this investment model.

"CrowdFunding Made Simple," a conference sponsored by the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA), will be presented from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the University of Utah Guest House and Conference Center, 110 S. Fort Douglas Boulevard.

The conference was developed in the wake of the signing of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS), which eases restrictions for small startup companies that are looking for ways to raise capital. Crowdfunding allows new companies to seek investors through the Internet.

Registration is $150 each day or $250 for both days. To register, go to crowdfundingmadesimple.com.
