Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, has hired Amy Hacking as a project manager. Hacking has more than 11 years of experience in the graphics design industry.
Alliance Health Networks, the social networking company serving consumers and the health care industry, has named Dan Hickey senior vice president of products. Prior to joining Alliance, Hickey led the development of Meredith Corp.'s digital portfolio. Under his leadership, the Meredith's Women's Network drew 35 million monthly unique visitors.
Paul C. Burke, who is a partner and serves as general counsel for the law firm of Ray Quinney & Nebeker in Salt Lake City, has been named "Pro Bono Attorney of the Year" for 2012 by the Utah State Bar.
Visit Salt Lake, the convention and visitors bureau, announced that Kimberly Leary has joined its staff as director of convention sales. She will focus on the education market. Tobin "Toby" Huebner has been named director of sports market sales. He will be responsible for securing athletic-oriented events, meetings and conventions in and around the Salt Lake area.
Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah announced that David Lemperle has been appointed sales vice president. He will be responsible for overall sales strategies, nurturing business relationships, new business prospects and moving Regence into emerging areas of opportunity. Jake Turley has been promoted to director of sales. In this new role, he will lead the Utah sales team in acquiring new business and retaining clients.
Fehr & Peers, a California based transportation consulting firm, has hired Kerry Doane as a senior transportation engineer in its Salt Lake City office. Doane previously worked at the Utah Transit Authority, where she spent the past 10 years in several positions, most recently as a strategic planner.
Third District Court Presiding Judge Royal Hansen has announced the appointment of Joanna B. Sagers as a commissioner in the 3rd Judicial District. Sagers was recommended by judges and approved by the Utah Judicial Council. She replaces Michael Evans, who retired Feb. 15. The 3rd Judicial District covers Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. Prior to her appointment, Sagers worked as the director of the Domestic Violence Victims Assistance Program for the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake from 1995 to 2012.
David Blain was named president of Saxton Horne Advertising and Media Services in Sandy. He has been serving as vice president of client services for Saxton Horne since September. Prior to joining Saxton Horne, Blain served as executive vice president of Rare Method's Salt Lake City office. Rare Method is a Canadian-based advertising agency.
Bank of American Fork announced the promotions of four employees — Marc Bule to vice president/assistant audit manager in the auditing department, Gene Ahlstrom to vice president/internal audit manager, Stephen Gonzales to assistant vice president/assistant controller in the accounting department, and Dustin Phillips to vice president/branch manager for the bank's Saratoga Springs branch.
Intermountain Healthcare's Board of Trustees has named Scott Anderson as chairman and Bruce Reese as vice chairman of the Intermountain board. They succeed Kem Gardner and Doug Black, respectively, both of whom remain on the board. Anderson is president and CEO of Zions First National Bank. Reese is president and CEO of Hubbard Radio LLC, which operates 21 stations in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Louis and Cincinnati.
Jones Waldo, a Salt Lake City-based law firm, has elected Kathleen McDonald as its newest shareholder. The firm also elected four new members to its board of directors, Paul M. Harman, Bruce E. Babcock, Timothy B. Anderson and Lewis M. Francis.
