Problem » In extremely cold conditions, Bendix relay valves may develop internal leakage, which can lead to air pressure being delivered to affected primary or secondary brake, causing continuous brake application. Inadvertent brake application can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to a fire or to the wheels locking up. Volvo will notify owners, and provide a temporary repair until Bendix develops a permanent remedy. This service will be performed for free. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks at 800-528-6586. Volvo’s recall number is RVXX1202.
