The Utah Division of Motor Vehicles said its On The Spot Renewal program has handled more than 2 million vehicle registrations since its launch in 2005.
The program is an online service used by more than 500 inspection stations statewide to renew vehicle registrations at the point of sale and to issue a decal immediately. It allows state residents to submit a complete vehicle inspection and annual registration renewal all in one location in a matter of minutes.

"On the Spot was the nation’s first real-time registration renewal program offered where residents are already having their vehicles serviced," said Barry Conover, executive director of the Utah Tax Commission.
He said the program is being expanded to include registration renewals for watercraft and off-road vehicles at select locations.
