Utah’s first gay and lesbian business expo kicks off Friday with a meet-and-greet starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a ribbon-cutting and board of director introductions at 6:30 p.m.
The two-day event is hosted by the Utah Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, formerly known as the Q Business Alliance.

Saturday’s morning social begins at 10 a.m., followed by a keynote speech at 11 a.m. It will be delivered by Babs De Lay, founder and principal real estate broker of Urban Utah.
There also will be more than 25 exhibits sponsored by Utah businesses and nonprofit organizations. Those exhibit tables will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
Various breakout sessions will also be available Saturday: Social Media Marketing 101 and 201 at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively, Working with Nonprofits at 12:30 p.m. and Reaching the Gay Market at 1:30 p.m.
All events will be held on the 18th floor of Zions Bank Tower at 1 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City. Entrance to the expo will be free of charge, but requires registration. To learn more or to register for the event, go to utahgaychamber.org.
