Ogden’s Own Distillery said its latest creation, Five Wives Vodka, has been "general listed" by the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The designation means that all state-controlled stores in the DABC system will be receiving Five Wives Vodka for distribution, the distillery said. The DABC initially tested the sales potential of the product in eight of its 43 stores.

"It’s great to have it going to all stores now," said President Tim Smith. "For 12 weeks we’ve been fielding questions from people asking where they could get Five Wives, and now it will be available statewide."
Smith described the vodka as "distilled from a 50/50 blend of wheat and corn and filtered multiple times through active carbon. It is then blended with spring water from Ogden Canyon."
He said the distillery also is exploring distributing the vodka in Wyoming, Idaho, Texas and Oregon.
Ogden’s Own Distillery describes itself as a micro-distillery that is the first such business licensed in that city since the 1800s. Its first product was Underground, an herbal liqueur available in 10 states.
