The Utah office of Coldwell Banker Commercial has appointed Elisha Martin director of its operations-asset services division in Alaska, an expansion of Coldwell Banker Commercial Utah’s western regional office based in Salt Lake City. Martin has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate and holds the designation of certified shopping center manager from the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Kimberly Shafer has been named marketing and communications manager at Altius Health Plans in South Jordan. Most recently, she served for nine years as an account executive for Altius’ parent company, Coventry Health Care. Kevin Lawlor has joined Altius as vice president of network development. He joined Altius from Intermountain Healthcare and has more than 15 years experience in the health care industry.
The Salt Lake City office of CBRE, a commercial real estate services firm, announced that Rad Dye received the Industrial Broker of the Year Award from the Certified Commercial Investment Member organization. He is a CBRE senior vice president. JR Moore, a vice president with CBRE in Salt Lake City, was recognized with the CCIM’s Retail Broker of the Year award. The CCIM is a global commercial real estate network with members across North America and in more than 30 countries. Also Utahns Scott Wilmarth, senior vice president at CBRE, and Eric Smith, a CBRE first vice president, were finalists for the Office Broker of the Year award.
Brighton Bank said Ryan Lewis has been named vice president and manager of its Small Business Administration department. He has more than 11 years of banking experience in the Utah market and has been directly involved in SBA lending for seven of those years.
Dr. J. Bryant Freer and Erika Tse, a certified physician assistant, have joined Just Kids Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic in West Valley City. Freer is a board-certified pediatrician. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and served his pediatric residency at the University of Utah Hospital. Tse holds a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. She has a clinical background working with underserved communities in pediatrics.
Setpoint Systems, an Ogden company that produces systems and equipment to enhance manufacturing productivity, said that Shane Aardema has joined the company as a project manager. Aardema, who earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Weber State University, has more than 17 years of industrial chemical experience in a variety of industries.
Holland & Hart, a law firm with offices in Utah, has announced that three attorneys have joined its Salt Lake City office. Mark Miller specializes in intellectual property litigation, Sherilyn Olsen in bankruptcy and Bryan Pratt in intellectual property.
Alliant Techsystems Inc. has named Amanda Covington vice president/director of communications for its corporate office in Washington, D.C. She joined the company in 2008 as the director of communications for ATK Armament Systems in Clearfield.
Janet Borg of Torrey has earned certification as a grant professional from the Grant Professional Certification Institute. The credential is awarded in recognition of educational achievements, proficiency and experience in helping charitable, corporate foundations and government entities in grant writing. Borg, who owns the consulting firm Biz Workx, has helped raise more than $5 million in grants, gifts and endowment funds for a variety of organizations.
Brian Murray has been named vice president and store manager at the new Macy’s store at City Creek Center in Salt Lake City. For the past two years he has served as vice president and store manager at the University mall store in Orem. He has more than 25 years of experience in retailing.
