Cameron Construction founder John Cameron has been named "Business Person of the Year" by the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
He founded Cameron Construction as a commercial contractor in 1973.
Although he has turned over active management of Cameron Construction to his son Kevin and partner David Hill, Cameron still is active with the company.
In presenting its award, the chamber noted Cameron's continued involvement with the business community, his volunteer efforts and influence on the local construction industry.
