The Bank of Utah is closing its branch at 3990 Washington Blvd. in South Ogden at the close of business April 13 and opening a full-service location at 4605 Harrison Blvd. on April 16.

At nearly 3,000 square feet, the new space will feature a drive-depository, night drop, safe-deposit boxes and an exterior-access ATM.

The branch will offer retail and business banking, and home-lending mortgage services.

"We’re pleased to be able to provide a more convenient, full-service branch to the dynamic South Ogden market," said bank president Douglas DeFries.

"This new location will be very handy for local residents, medical service providers and small businesses, as well as students and faculty of Weber State University."

Bank of Utah, soon to mark 60 years in business, was founded and organized by Frank M. Browning, an Ogden business executive.

The bank has 13 full-service branches along the Wasatch Front; mortgage offices in Sandy, South Jordan and Price; and corporate trust teams in Ogden and Salt Lake City.
