Larson & Rosenberger LLP, an insurance accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Utah and California, was recently ranked by A.M. Best as the 16th-largest insurance accounting firm in the United States in 2011.

According to a statement from Larson & Rosenberger, the A.M. Best rating comes from a study of 290 independent accounting firms that serviced 3,899 insurance companies. The net market share of clients determines a firm's rank, and the study consisted of property/casualty, life/health and health insurers who filed with A.M. Best.

Larson & Rosenberger moved up one spot from 2010.

Larson & Rosenberger offers tax planning, preparation and provisions, as well as nonprofit and government auditing and business valuations. It has offices in Moab, Salt Lake City, Sandy, Spanish Fork, St. George and Glendale, Calif.

The A.M. Best Co., a worldwide ratings agency, dates to 1899 and specializes in financial strength ratings.
