Salt Lake City Public Library's newly redesigned website has been named WebPick of the Week by Communication Arts, a top visual communication journal. The website, www.slcpl.org, was recognized as an "outstanding example of Web design selected based on a combination of superior aesthetics, technical expertise, functionality and overall site experience." The site was designed and developed by Rain, a digital firm based in American Fork.
Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, received three national ADDY awards for the Apple Beer campaign this year. One gold and two silver awards were granted to the agency, which also won the most total national ADDYs in its district. The ADDYs are staged annually by the American Advertising Federation and are known as the world's largest advertising competition.
Safelite AutoGlass, provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, has opened a store at 83 E. 11400 South in Sandy. The 3,500-square-foot building features four service bays and can house 200 inventory parts. The waiting area will soon be equipped with cable television and Wi-Fi.
Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. opened a retail store, bringing the number of Tandy Leather locations to 77. The new store is in the Norwest Business Park, 541 N. 1200 West in Orem.
Brighton Gardens Assisted Living has recently been purchased by Emeritus Senior Living, based in Seattle. Brighton Gardens, now referred to as Emeritus of Salt Lake City, remains at the same downtown location, 76 S. 500 East.
