Product • EKSuccess Brands American Girl Crafts Pearly Beads & Ribbon Bracelet kits, sold at Michaels stores and other retailers nationwide from September 2009 through June 2011 for about $8.
Problem • The surface coating on some of the beads contains excessive levels of lead, which is prohibited under federal law. Consumers should take the recalled kits and any finished bracelets made from the kits away from children and contact the company at 855-535-2099 for a refund. Vehicle • 2001-'03 Toyota Prius
Problem • The steerage linkage may loosen, resulting in reduced electrical steering assistance when making a left turn. Loss of power steering, particularly when an operator is trying to turn, may increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the nuts in the steering linkage free of charge.
