Kurt Salomon of Advocate Inspections & Abodee Radon Mitigation, Midvale, has been installed as president of the American Society of Home Inspectors.

Two R&O Construction employees, Mike Holland and Eric Stratford, have earned the LEED Green Associate professional designation from the Green Building Certification Institute. A LEED Green Associate designation signifies that the individual has the knowledge of green principles and practices and is educated in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

Jonathan S. Clyde, of Clyde Snow & Sessions' Natural Resources and Water Law Group, has been confirmed a board member of Utah Open Lands, a nonprofit land-trust association.

Visit Salt Lake has hired Jeremy Chase to be its new sports-market sales manager, charged with bringing athletic and sport-oriented events to Salt Lake City. Chase comes to the former Convention & Visitors Bureau from the Boston Yacht Haven Inn and has held two other jobs in Utah: general manager of the Inn at Solitude and director of room operations at the Salt Lake Marriott City Center.

Robert Rice, a shareholder at Ray Quinney & Nebeker, has been elected by his peers to serve as a Third Division Commissioner of the Utah State Bar. He will serve a three-year term starting July 8.

 Progrexion, a marketing firm, has named Brad Hanks as social media manager. In this position, he will oversee the interaction of its clients with customers and help steer the "voice" of the brands that the company manages.

The Associated Schools of Construction has honored Steven Peterson, a Weber State University construction-management professor, with its Outstanding Educator Award for 2010-11. He is one of three winners honored from regions around the country at the national convention in Omaha, Neb.

Michael Lindsay, a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has been named the company's No. 1 agent in Utah. This is the second year in a row Lindsay was named top individual agent in Utah. He works at the brokerage's Union Heights office in Midvale.

Zions Bank has promoted Jim Tustison to retail banking area president for the downtown Salt Lake City area. He is responsible for overseeing five branches. His office will remain at Zions Bank's Broadway branch, 310 S. Main St.

HealthInsight, a nonprofit dedicated to improving health and health care in Utah, has named Douglas Hasbrouck as the Utah executive director. He previously served as the vice president of medical affairs for the company and will continue in that leadership role as well.

Nina Flurer, CCE, H&E Equipment Services, Salt Lake City, was elected chairwoman of the Board of NACM Business Credit Services. NACM Business Credit Services is an association established in 1901 that consists of 700 local & national business credit executives in manufacturing, wholesale and service industries and financial institutions. 

Wilson Electronics has hired Catherine Corpus to the company's marketing team, Mike Ebert as a video-production animation and designer, Taylor White as the company's first online brand specialist, Ken Perkins to the public relations team for the company's resellers as well as production for sales collateral. Jonathan Bacon has been promoted as the director of marketing.

Jones Waldo has selected Robinson M. Alston as chairman of the Business Department. He has been with Jones Waldo for 19 years and is the current leader of the Joint Ventures and Strategic Alliances practice group. In addition, Eric P. Lee, Nathan D. Thomas, Mark D. Tolman and John C. Rooker have been elected shareholders, and Lon A. Jenkins and Jacob Redd have been elected new members of the firm's board of directors.

Nature's Sunshine Products Inc., a natural health and wellness company, has appointed Mark Genender as a member of the board of directors, to serve as a Class III director.

PAETEC Holding Corp. has hired Brad Houtz and Jamar Hunt as account executives. They will provide telecommunications services to businesses in the greater Salt Lake City area.

Black Diamond Inc., a provider of outdoor recreation equipment, active lifestyle products and a global climbing and freeride ski brand, has hired Tim Bantle as director of apparel. He previously was a former business unit director at Patagonia.

Kurt Dallinga, acoustical and technology engineer at Spectrum Engineers, has been named a top young professional in Engineering News-Record Mountain States magazine's 2011 Top 20 Under 40 issue.
