The nonprofit National Private Duty Association next week will be offering a free consumer education Web conference, "Hiring Home Care Workers: Avoiding Tax and Legal Risks."
The live and interactive program beginning at 6 p.m. March 30 will cover hiring guidelines, tax and legal issues, identifying risks and independent contractor issues.
"Going into this hiring process with a solid foundation of knowledge puts your mind at ease and reduces the potential for tax and legal problems down the road," Sheila McMackin, president of NPDA, said in a statement.
Pre-registration is mandatory at www.privatedutyhomecare.org.
