Moyle Petroleum, based in Rapid City, S.D., has purchased nine Utah and Idaho convenience stores owned by FJ Management, formerly known as Flying J.
Of the nine, an FJ statement said stores in Brigham City, Draper,Harrisville, Layton, Logan and Ogden were part of the deal, and three are in Idaho.
Ogden-based Flying J had its origins in 1968 with four gasoline stations that eventually grew to oil refineries and travel centers. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2008. As part of its reorganization, it started selling off some of its assets, including the convenience stores, the statement said.
