The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

Product » SmileMakers Children’s Happy Charm Bracelets and Football Rings, distributed at doctor’s and dentist’s offices nationwide from June 2005 through March 2010 for free.

Problem » The metal substrate in the jewelry contains high levels of cadmium, which is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. Consumers should immediately take the recalled jewelry away from children and discard the product. Call SmileMakers at 877-390-5470.

Product » 2010 Subaru Legacy, Outback.

Problem » The wiring in the steering column electrical roll connector may develop stress cracks and eventually break. If this happens, certain electrical components may not operate as intended, including driver’s front air bag and cruise control. Dealers will check and repair if necessary. Call Subaru at 800-782-2783.
