Pocatello, Idaho • A polygamous man who oversaw a southeast Idaho home where nine boys were sent on repentance missions by Warren Jeffs has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for child abuse.

Forty-nine-year-old Nathan C. Jessop received the sentence Tuesday in Pocatello after previously pleading guilty to three counts of misdemeanor injury to a child.

KPVI-TV reports that another 360 days in jail were suspended.

The charges stemmed from Jessop locking a teenage boy in a furnace room for two days, and not reporting that two other boys ran away.

Jessop told police the boys are members of Jeffs' Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, based on the Utah-Arizona border, and sent to him by their parents because they had been disobedient.
