Candidates for Utah's 1st Congressional District — Republican incumbent Rep. Rob Bishop and Democratic challenger Donna McAleer — are facing off tonight in the first debate of the 2014 campaign presented by the Utah Debate Commission.
The debate is being live-streamed now on sltrib.com from the Shepherd Union Building at Weber State University.
The Utah Debate Commission is a consortium of higher educational institutions and news media organizations committed to presenting a nonpartisan and independent system of debates among qualified candidates for statewide and federal offices in Utah during each election cycle. The 2014 election marks the first debates produced by the commission.
