A Duchesne man was flown to a hospital Friday evening after a motorcycle crash in Roosevelt.

Coy Clayburn, 22, was driving his Harley-Davidson west on Highway 40 when, near 800 South, another vehicle turned in front of him to go east, said Roosevelt police Officer Luke Stradinger. The two collided almost head-on about 5:30 p.m.

The crash broke several of Clayburn's bones and, after an ambulance took him to Uintah Basin Medical Center, he was flown in a medical helicopter to a Utah County hospital. Stradinger was unsure of Clayburn's condition, but he had been stabilized.

Clayburn had been wearing a helmet, Stradinger said.

The driver of the other vehicle will likely receive a citation for failure to yield, Stradinger said.
