A Mendon man was flown out of a Cache County canyon after an ATV rollover.

Brad Franke, 45, was riding ATVs with friends in Millville Canyon on Friday afternoon when his ATV rolled, said Cache County sheriff's Lt. Doyle Peck. Franke had suffered injuries to his leg, arm and ribs, and dispatchers received a call for help about 5:35 p.m.

The man was about three miles into the canyon, so a medical helicopter arrived for "to get medical attention to him quicker," Peck said.

The helicopter took off from the canyon a bit after 7 p.m., en route to the hospital. Peck did not believe Franke's injuries were life threatening.
