A picturesque evening at Deer Valley's Snow Park Amphitheatre was made magical thanks to the intricate playing of the Utah Symphony and four engaging, energetic singers. Arrangements were played to collages from favorite films such as "Aladdin," "Frozen," "Tangled" and many more.

Opening song • A Disney medley fire with musical and visual highlights from "Peter Pan," "Snow White," "Alice in Wonderland," "Lady and the Tramp," "Bambi," "Fantasia," "Cinderella," "101 Dalmations," "Pinnochio," "The Lion King," "Dumbo" and more.

Highlight • The 1935 cartoon with Donald Duck interrupting a performance by Maestro Mickey in "The Band Concert," set to the William Tell Overture.

Crowd favorite • The medley of songs from "Frozen" was greeted by ecstatic screams from the crowd and lots of little girls singing along, marking it as the night's obvious favorite.

Best quote • "How many songs did you count [in the opening number]? 21?! I counted seven, but I get to Bambi and then I just start crying, so you may be right." Conductor Jerry Steichen.

In the crowd • Friday night's performance had to have one of the youngest average ages of a performance, with gaggles of well-behaved kids dressed as their favorite Disney characters, from princesses to animal heroes to villains. Families munched on picnics and enjoyed a concert under the stars.

Encore • The pulsating anthem to "The Lion King" warmed everyone up after the medley from "Frozen."

Low note • The only downside to an outdoor concert in Park City is the dropping temperatures toward the end of the show.

Next up • The Utah Symphony continues Saturday, Aug. 2 with "Super Diamond: The Neil Diamond Tribute." On Aug. 6, it performs Mozart's Symphony No. 6.
