A 67-year-old woman remained in critical condition, but her vital signs had been stabilized Friday, two days after she was run down in an Ogden crosswalk.

Ogden police said doctors at McKay-Dee Hospital now believe Annie Wheeler will survive the injuries she sustained 5:47 p.m. Wednesday when a car struck her as she crossed 24th Street near Harrison Boulevard.

The driver, a 70-year-old woman, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Wheeler also was crossing with the light at the time she was hit, police said.
