A bomb squad was called to an Ogden credit union Monday morning after someone left what proved to be a fake explosive device at the drive-up window.
Ogden police officials said someone placed a package in the "retractable teller window" at Wasatch Peaks Credit Union, 975 Washington Blvd., at about 10:30 a.m. Monday. With the package was a note saying the item was an explosive device, said Lt. Tim Scott.
Scott said the Davis County bomb squad was called to the scene, and by 1:15 p.m., were able to determine that there was no real threat.
"It was not an actual device," Scott said. "But it was made to look like an explosive device."
Scott said the FBI is now investigating the case. He said no arrests have been made, but officials have received leads on who dropped off the package.
