Comic Con FanX • Ticket sales suggest this three-day comic book convention will be even bigger than last fall's record-breaking comic con attended by 80,000. More information, saltlakecomiccon.com/.

42nd Annual Sustaining Our Culture Powwow At the U. • This day-long annual event of ceremony, music and dance is organized by the U.'s Inter-Tribal Student Association and honors American Indian students and community. More information, http://www.utah.edu/powwow.

Earth Day Artful Afternoon • A family-oriented activity in which participants will make art from recycled materials, participate in a treasure hunt, learn about the Earth and how to protect it, and view performances and art that champion a more sustainable planet.
