DVD • The gunplay in "Red 2" is abundant and bloodless, which is fitting for an action comedy that's noisy but without much energy. Bruce Willis returns as retired spy Frank Moses, whose attempt at a quiet life with his girlfriend Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker) is cut short when his old colleague Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) shows up with news that Frank and Marvin are being framed for espionage regarding an old Russian nuke.

The three then globe-hop to Paris, Moscow and London, dodging assassins (Helen Mirren and Byung-hun Lee), a former Russian operative (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and an imprisoned Cold War scientist (Anthony Hopkins).

The humor is stale, the action scenes repetitive, and everyone seems in it for a paycheck. —
