Trib Talk: An exit interview with Nancy Conway

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Former Salt Lake Tribune Editor Nancy Conway, here meeting with Tribune staff soon after becoming editor in 2003, is warning that a new operating agreement with the Deseret News could doom The Tribune.

After more than a decade of leading Utah’s largest newspaper, Salt Lake Tribune Editor Nancy Conway has retired. During her tenure as the first woman editor in the newspaper’s 142-year history, Conway fought for access to government records, moved the Tribune from historic Main Street to its current location at the Gateway and navigated the financial uncertainty that has come with digital media.

On Tuesday at 12:15 p.m., Conway joins Jennifer Napier-Pearce to discuss her life in journalism and the future of the newspaper business.

You can join the discussion by sending questions and comments to the hashtag #TribTalk on Twitter and Google+, or submit comments in the comment section below this story.
