Two hearings will be held next week to gather public input on a Salt Lake County agency's draft assessment of needs among low- and moderate-income households.

The county Division of Community Resources & Development will use the assessment to help divide federal funds, such as those Community Development Block Grants, among eligible nonprofit agencies.

These "public need" hearings will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Murray City Library, 166 E. 5300 South, and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the first-floor Salt Lake County Council chambers, North Building, County Government Center, 2001 S. State.

Written comments will be accepted via email through Sept. 27. Emails should be sent to Valerie Walton, vwalton@slco.org, or to Karen Wiley, kwiley@slco.org.
