Knock at SLC home’s door turns into home invasion

A late-night knock at the door turned into a home invasion robbery for a southeast Salt Lake City woman.

Salt Lake City police Det. Rick Wall said Monday that officers were still investigating the break-in, which occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday, near 3000 South and 900 East.

That was when one suspect, a white male, knocked on the door. When the female resident answered, the suspect produced a hand gun and forced his way inside, accompanied by a second male. No better descriptions of the two were immediately available.

The pair tied the woman’s hands behind her back and ransacked the home, making off with several unspecified items.

The woman was not otherwise harmed.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
