Freebirds World Burrito eatery coming to Utah

The first Freebirds World Burrito location planned for Utah is set to open in October in Taylorsville, city officials said Friday.

The fast-casual restaurant will be at 5419 S. Redwood Road. Mark McKay and Chris Beck-McKay of the franchisee, MC Food Service LLC, have committed to build 10 locations in the state.

Freebirds is part of San Francisco-based Tavistock Restaurants. There are 98 Freebirds restaurants in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and Louisiana.
