It's safe again to drink the water in Eagle Mountain.

City officials on Tuesday evening lifted voluntary water restrictions after test results showed the supply was not contaminated.

"We have received the water testing results back from the State certified lab and are happy to report that the water is free of contaminants," the city announced in a news release.

Officials had discovered Monday that a water storage tank had been broken into and recommended the restrictions on using water until it could be tested for contaminants. There was no information as to when the break-in occurred.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office was investigating the break-in. If anyone has information about the crime, they were encouraged to contact dispatch at 801-794-3970.
