Pittsburgh • So much for James Harrison's retirement.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back the volatile five-time Pro Bowler to bring a veteran presence to a depleted linebacker group.

The 36-year-old posted a picture on Twitter on Tuesday morning, writing done deal next to a photo of him signing a contract.

Harrison retired as a member of the Steelers less than three weeks ago after spending the 2013 season with the Cincinnati Bengals. He cited the need to be close to his sons. Playing for the Steelers takes care of that problem. Harrison lives in a northern suburb.

The Steelers need pass rushing help after losing linebackers Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones to injury in Sunday night's win over Carolina.
