Huntsville • Weber County sheriff's deputies say they have pulled a fifth sunken vehicle out of the Pineview Reservoir east of Ogden and this one may have been there for a half century.

The car was among several deputies detected in 30 to 40-feet of water near the dam while testing new sonar equipment earlier this month. Last weekend, divers retrieved four cars, three of them stolen.

Most dated to the 1990s but one, a Toyota 4Runner, was stolen in Ogden in August.

Lt. Lane Findlay said Saturday's "sunken treasure" was a Mercury sedan from the 1950s and may have been there 50 years.

He says they'll try to identify the owner but that could prove difficult. Divers also found a bag inside the car with a 10-pound weight and two handguns.
