The National Weather Service is predicting a warm, sunny Saturday along the Wasatch Front, with cooler temperatures and precipitation on Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to hit the 80s on Saturday and drop to the upper 40s to low 60s overnight.

On Sunday, highs should range from the low 70s to about 80 and there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the weather service.

Farther south, the thermometer is expected to hit the mid 80s in Cedar City, the upper 80s in Kanab and the mid 90s in St. George on Saturday. Scattered showers are expected in the afternoon and evening in all these areas, with the rain increasing after midnight.

Sunday highs in southern Utah are predicted to range from the upper 70s to upper 80s.
