With a soft-spoken voice and slight frame, Utah receiver JoJo Natson is a wisp of a player standing around his bigger teammates.

But don't underestimate that thin body (5-foot-7, 151 pounds). It's the same one that gets him lost in a group and making him one of the hardest guys to bring down on the field.

Natson is proving to be one of the best all-around offensive threats the Aggies have. He is tied for first in the nation with one punt return for a touchdown and is 15th nationally in punt return average (16.0). He is also sixth in the Mountain West and 67th nationally in all-purpose yards (120.0) and leads the Aggies in rushing (11 carries, 125 yards) and receiving (15 carries, 155 yards).

About the only position he hasn't played for the Aggies is offensive line, joked coach Matt Wells. Then Wells glanced at Natson with a look that said, "Well, maybe."

Best to keep Natson in the skill positions, where he is giving opponents headaches in game planning.

Natson was good last year, finishing with 59 receptions for 395 yards and rushing 28 times for 98 yards, but his play has been even more dramatic this season.

"You put the ball in the kid's hands and he just goes," Wells said. "He is a hard guy to wrap up."

Natson, from Fort Lauderdale, Fl., has been particularly good for the Aggies around the edges.

"It's a good change-up for us," Wells said. "You put him in the backfield and teams think, 'OK, he's a receiver, they are going to throw it to him,' but he can run it," Wells said. "He stretches the field for us."

Natson is humble about his play, calling it "fun," while opponents probably think "devastating" is a better description.

"The coaches find a way to get me the ball each week," he said. "They know I can make plays and they gave me opportunities and I make the best of them."

The Aggies also tried using Natson in the wildcat formation that wasn't as successful. But one gets the feeling it is only a matter of time before he will make another game-breaking play.

Last season Natson was he only player in the country to log multiple touchdowns rushing (3), receiving (2) and returning punts (2). —
