Tacos El Pariente I food cart, which operated at 165 W. 7200 South in Midvale, was shut down Sunday, after health inspectors discovered it had no operational sink for employee hand washing.

"The permit is being suspended for an imminent health hazard," according to a notice on the Salt Lake County Health Department website.

The health violations include:

• No hand sink convenient and accessible in food preparation area.

• No soap at hand sink.

• No hand drying provision at hand sink.

• Person in charge is unable to demonstrate knowledge of the relationship between the prevention of food borne illness and management of hand washing.

• Employees are not washing hands prior to food preparation.

The taco cart can reopen once it has fixed the problems and health inspectors deem it safe for consumers.
