Autumn Aloft • This hot air balloon festival returns to Park City after a 20-year hiatus. Information, http://www.autumnaloft.com.

When: Saturday and Sunday, main launches set for 7-9 a.m. each day, a balloon glow is set for 8:30-9 p.m. Saturday

Where: Launch site is at the North 40 Fields

Cowboy Festival • See performances by cowboy poets, trick ropers, and local Bluegrass and Country bands and watch the Pony Express ride down the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Information, nhmu.utah.edu/events/cowboy-festival-and-bbq.

13th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration • Family-friendly activities, a cycling criterium, live music and a beer garden plus street quick-bites provided by local restaurants. Information, http://www.historic25.com/.

Hogle Zoo Safety Safari • Community volunteers will help teach participants about disaster preparedness, build free disaster kits and do games and crafts for children. Information, http://www.hoglezoo.org/event_registration/?ee=25.

Kickball for a Cause • This kickball tournament involving hundreds of adults is a fundraiser for Playworks, which provides children in 17 Utah elementary schools opportunities for safe and meaningful play. Information, http://www.playworks.org.

21st Annual Tree Climbing Championship • Utah's best tree climbers will be competing in this annual event sponsored by the Utah Community Forest Council/International Society of Arboriculture-Utah Chapter. Utah's champion will represent the state at the 2015 International Tree Climb Competition in Tampa, Fla., in March. Information, http://www.utahurbanforest.org.

Rocky Mountain Raceways Pet Adoption & Fundraiser • Breakfast, a race car display and prizes will help raise money for the Utah Animal Adoption Center, a non-euthanizing center that saves an average of 1,000 dogs and cats annually through rescue, adoption and education.
