Cedar City • Utah State-Eastern guard Travon Langston has signed to play at Southern Utah, coach Nick Robinson announced Monday.

Langston started 20 games for USU-Eastern in Price last season. He averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 52 percent from the field. He helped lead USU-Eastern to a 21-10 record.

"Travon is an excellent addition to our basketball program," said Robinson. "He can impact the game on both ends of the floor with his speed and athleticism. In addition, he is going to bring a highly competitive spirit and leadership on a daily basis."

During his prep career at Las Vegas High School, Langston averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. As a senior, he was an All-Conference and All-Region player for coach Jason Wilson and the Wildcats.
