DVD •There are two outstanding reasons to watch Season 2 of "Last Tango in Halifax" — Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid, who absolutely sparkle as late-in-life lovers Alan and Celia.

As you'll recall from Season 1, the two had an attraction more than half a century ago, but married other people. Each had a daughter; each was widowed; they found each other and fell in love.

It's a rocky road to romance even for senior citizens, what with Alan's heart attack and the complicated lives of their daughters (Sarah Lancashire and Nicole Walker).

The novelty of "Last Tango" has worn off in Season 2, but the show remains a sterling drama with very good writing and exceptional performances. —
