Where's "Augie?"

Salt Lake City police want to know and ask the public to be on the lookout for the screwdriver-wielding stabbing suspect who put a man in the hospital during a street dispute late Wednesday night.

SLCPD says the 25-year-old male victim had stopped on his bike for a traffic light near 800 West and North Temple at 11:23 p.m. That was when he was approached by the suspect — a short, white man in his 30s, about 200 pounds, wearing glasses and blue jeans, a blue shirt and a silver chain necklace.

An argument over an unspecified matter ensued between the men, who were acquaintances, and culminated when the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest with the screwdriver.

The suspect was last seen running west on North Temple. The victim was in good condition after being treated for a superficial wound at the hospital.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
