Utah has the second-highest return on investment for its health care, according to a new study by Wallet Hub.

The financial-analysis company looked at three main metrics when determining its findings: America's Health Ranking Annual Report, death rates and average individual health insurance premiums.

Utah bucked the trend of blue states providing a better return on investment than red states on average. Red states ranked an average of 27.42 while blue states averaged a 20.35 ranking.

The ranking was determined by dividing the quality of health care by the cost of health care.
