Utah's forecast? Hot and humid with continued hot and humid, followed by a chance of continued humidity with a muggy, wet weather front coming down from the southwest.
It's almost as if Adrian Cronauer was giving a PG version "Good morning, Utah" forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
Along the Wasatch Front, Wednesday dawned with relative humidity at 90 percent and higher as isolated showers cycled through the region, a pattern expected to continue Thursday. High temperatures were forecast for the mid- to upper-80s both days.
Southern Utahns were due their own measure of the steamy, sticky weather — and worse, temperatures both days expected to flirt with triple-digits.
A benefit of the sloppy, slippery misery was cleaner air. The Utah Division of Air Quality rated the entire state, with the exception of Utah County ("yellow," or compromised) as "green", or healthy for air quality heading into the latter part of the work week.
The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website listed only mold at "high," while other allergens were deemed "low" on the pollen index as of Wednesday.
