Rap and hip-hop fans of all ages packed Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City on Thursday to witness the performance of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan.

The eight-man crew performed crowd favorite "C.R.E.A.M." The fans roared at the first notes of the groups rendition of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's "The Next Episode."

The rappers often made references to original member, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Hailing from the streets of New York City, the group professed their love for the fans of hip-hop and gave the crowd a mini-history lesson.

"Hip hop started in the streets of the Bronx... It all started with the DJ," one of the members said and then graced the crowd with a turntable mix.

Wu-Tang Clan brought one of the biggest crowds to the park this summer. During the opener's performance, Run the Jewels, the admission line wrapped around 400 South and 200 West.

Next Thursday, Aug. 7, L.A.-based indie rock band Local Natives will headline the Twilight show, with Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.
