A woman was in serious condition on Monday, the day after her van crashed into three other vehicles and rolled in downtown Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City police did not release the woman's identity, but confirmed her vital signs had been stabilized and that she was expected to recover.

The accident occurred just after 10 a.m. Sunday when the woman's eastbound van slammed into three parked cars near 300 South and 470 East. She initially was reported to be in critical condition.

The cause of the crash continued to be under investigation.
